One Direction
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan also known as the Famous boy band One Direction. Harry was actually the one who invented there name with the band mate Niall, and all the other boys loved it. 1D got discovered from the UK X-factor in 2010. All the Boys Auditioned individually, and they all got through the audition, But not the Bootcamp. The Famous singer Nicole Scherzinger suggested that the boys shouldn’t be solo artist, but go together as a group. After that suggested the boys got a group, and Simon Cowell took them, with him to his Bootcamp in Spain.
In Spain they sang for the first time together, the song called “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia. Simon Cowell chose that the boys got through to the live shows. And it went really well for the boys, they even got to the final, where they sang “Forever Young”. They got on a third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and the winner Matt Cardle.
After the X-factor One Direction signed a £2 Million contract with Syco Records. They released there first debut single “What Makes You Beautiful” the 11th September 2011, and in one week they songs was No. 1 in UK Singles Chart with 153.965 sales. A month later they released their second single “Gotta Be You”, and there first album “Up All Night”. In the album there’s songs written by Kelly Clarkson and Ed Sheeran.
December 2011 – January 2012 the boys were on their “Up All Night Tour”, where they also released their third single “One Thing”. One Direction were also on tour with the famous US Boy Band Big Time Rush, in February – March 2012. The Boys also signed a record deal with Columbia Records while they were in US.
2012 has been THE YEAR! Because the 21th February the boys, won their first Brit Award for Best British Single. The boys were in a group with Adele, Jessie J, JLS, and The Wanted so they had NEVER imagined that they would win. But When Tinie Tempah Yelled there name a dream come true. In the acceptance speech Liam announced that in 2013 they will do a “UK and Ireland Arena Tour”. One Direction Is also going to perform at the “2012 Kids Choice Awards”, and later this spring the boys are going to Join an episode of ICarly, where the Boys are going to perform “What Makes You Beautiful”.
As a “Directioner” (as the big fan group is called), I hope the best for the boys, because they are amazing and they are funny, and they are still Down To Earth.
